THE ROLE

The Supplier Quality Engineer involves communicating and working directly with glass and copper suppliers, the supply chain management group, R&D, Scale-Up Engineering (R&D Operations), the analytical labs (JSL), and Technical Program Management (TPM) team. You will have knowledge of chemical analysis and thermal analysis tools. The Supplier quality Engineer evaluates current and alternative raw material suppliers to reduce overall cost and advance the technology of Isola’s materials, while maintaining the quality of Isola’s products.

TOP RESPONSIBILITIES

• You review raw material specifications and work with suppliers to achieve the best specifications for our materials.
• You ensure that end product and end user requirements are incorporated into evaluation programs
• You communicate directly with the supply base to provide detailed material qualification data including testing results, analysis and improvement potential
• You improve process ability within the current supplier base and material set
• You communicate with key internal business stakeholders including but not limited to leadership, R&D and supply chain

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemistry or a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering
• 4-5 years of direct experience in the electronic woven glass or copper foil for CCL/PCB manufacturing
• Knowledge of the use chemical analysis and thermal analysis tools
• You apply the scientific deductive reasoning to problem solving
• You’re able to read and interpret patents and technical articles in English.
• Strong laboratory practices and documentation skills.
• Your experienced with the Microsoft suite and are an advanced used of Excel
• You’re able to read and interpret patents and technical articles in English.
• You’re an effective communicator and can build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Occasional international travel will be required
